zgharta.com: The St. Joseph Maronite Parish of Sydney are holding a (English-Arabic) Seminar on the life, achievements and legacy of the Venerable Patriarch Estephan Douaihy. Under the title, "On Course to Beatification," author Sarkis Karam and Dr Joseph Azizi will be the guest speakers.

It will held on Wednesday 14 July 2010, 7.30 pm (local time) at St. Joseph Church Hall, 7 Acton Street, Croydon, Sydney.

The Patriarch having been proclaimed Venerable in 2008 the next stage to eventual canonisation is Beatification. To be declared Blessed a miracle has to be proved since his death. In the case of the Blessed Brother Estephan Nehme (1889-1938) he was declared Venerable in 2007.

In an interview with SBS Radio , Sarkis Karam gives  an insight into the life and achievments of Patriarch Estephane Doueihi who is on the road of sainthood.
